Tom Nijman – Carbon and Forestry Consultant
“I am strongly driven by a passion for restoring natural ecosystems, such as tropical forests, peatlands, and lakes. Although my background is mostly in research, I have always felt a strong wish to apply research by playing a role in actual interventions in the field. Working at Form International allows me to drive positive changes for the climate, biodiversity, and local communities.”
Tom is an ecosystem ecologist with a diverse background in ecology and management of forests, lakes, and peatlands. He holds a PhD in aquatic ecology and has researched how management affects ecosystem carbon budgets. At Form International, he aims to leverage his analytical and project management skills to ensure optimal carbon project development and sustainable forest management.
