Rutger is a specialist in business case development and financial modelling, and also has a strong focus on developing and implementing realistic and pragmatic plans for forest establishment and maintenance. He loves figures and field data, ensuring the field staff provides the right data, and analysed data are properly translated into interventions and actions, up to field level. He leads the team for the preparation and implementation of the Mount Kei reforestation project, which includes forest plantations and natural forest restoration activities, and leads the process towards forest and carbon certification. Further, he is the project lead on the development of Allanblackia domestication and business case development, is a lead Assessor of national certification schemes for PEFC and conducts feasibility studies for clients.
