Project
The European Timber Trade Federation (ETTF) and Association Technique Internationale des Bois Tropicaux (ATIBT) are the owners of the Timber Trade Portal, developed by Form International. The Web Portal is an answer to the numerous questions timber traders have when it comes to legal timber trade, due diligence, country requirements and export. It serves as a central information point, where visitors can find country profiles on both timber industry and legislation of producer countries, mainly located in tropical Africa, Asia and Latin America. Importers must obtain documentary evidence to satisfy the due diligence requirements of the EUTR and various other regulations.
The construction and maintenance of the website is supported by the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO), the European Sustainable Tropical Timber Coalition (EU STTC), the European Union and the Fonds Français pour l’Environnement Mondial (FFEM).
Our role
Form International plays a coordinating and implementing role in the construction and maintenance of the website. Based on desk study and expert-input, country profiles are compiled by the Form team, and published on the website after review. In January 2016, the website was launched. 23 country profiles are available. All published profiles have undergone expert review. Updates are made regularly and the website will be available in Chinese soon.
